‘Absolutely fabulous’ recognition from Aged Advisor!

Ryman Healthcare has again been recognised as a top provider at the 2023 Aged Advisor ‘People Choice Awards’. This year Ryman was selected as a finalist for Best Provider Nationwide, and Diana Isaac took home Best Large Retirement Village/ Lifestyle Village.

The awards, run by agedadvisor.co.nz are based on almost 11,300 reviews and ratings for more than 890 facilities. Over 1600 of those in-depth reviews went towards this year’s awards.

Ryman Healthcare took home the top prize in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. As a finalist this year Aged Advisor voters recognise Ryman’s continued growth and efforts within the aged care sector.

Diana Isaac’s win marks the fourth win for the Mairehau village, taking out Best Large Retirement Village/ Lifestyle Village in the South Island.

Cheyne Chalmers, Ryman Healthcare NZ CEO said Ryman Healthcare’s recognition today showed how the focus on care and compassion translates into the hard work displayed by our teams.

“(It’s) absolutely fabulous! I know that all of our teams go to work every day to make a difference in our residents’ lives and it’s really neat to have this recognition…

“Our team members they work really hard make sure our villages look beautiful and that our residents have a great time, It’s really special.”

She says as the largest aged care provider in New Zealand, Ryman is mindful of the huge demand for care coming down the pipeline. It’s an area that the teams currently continue to excel at which is reflected in the feedback from residents and families.

Staying as a leader in care is a primary focus for Ryman moving into the new year, and Cheyne shared that there will be a continued emphasis on this, “I think just by continuing to do what we do really well, and that is provide great care every day.”

Other Ryman villages to feature as finalists at this year’s awards included Keith Park, Ngaio Marsh, Anthony Wilding, and Charles Upham.
