Old friends and new

Ian, Jan, and Joyce place fun at the top of their to-do lists. And between playing tennis, socialising at home, and entertaining grandchildren, they’re busier than ever. 

When considering a move to village life, Ian and Jan looked for a place filled with new friends. Ryman’s Nellie Melba Village was the answer. “We’re just having so much fun. We love the life we have here,” says Jan. “Since moving, we've been more positive, busier, happier, and surrounded by a whole lot of new friends.” Jumping in a Ryman eCab to get out and about is an added bonus. 

As their friend Joyce explains, “It’s a lifestyle. It’s the camaraderie. I feel like I’ve known Jan for 50 years already!” They all agree that since moving to the village, they laugh now more than ever. “And we have got the worst laughs. On our coffee mornings, we annoy the bingo people because we laugh so loud!” 

And when it’s time for a break, their respective apartments help them unwind. “We’re thrilled with our apartment. It's just lovely,” says Jan of their penthouse-style view of the village gardens. “I don't ever put my blinds down or draw the curtains because we look out over these beautiful trees.” 

Ian, Jan, and Joyce laugh daily. They’re busy, surrounded by new friends, and having fun. Being active and spending time with people they enjoy. That is Ian, Jan, and Joyce’s measure of a full life.
